Lake Forest School District hosted a District wide Special Olympics event yesterday at Lake Forest High School. Our students participated in a Unified Bocce Tournament and then enjoyed lunch at the high school. Thank you to LFHS for hosting and a special thanks to Mrs. Hitchens for coordinating this wonderful event.

Lake Forest School District's Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) provides families of students with special education needs throughout the District with a platform to collaborate with the District's Special Services Department regarding topics that directly impact students with disabilities. For the 2023-24 school year, SEPAC will meet quarterly via Zoom from 5:30-6:30pm. The meeting dates are 11/28/23, 01/16/24, 03/16/24 and 05/14/24. Click this link to RSVP to our first meeting. Congrats to the LFHS Marching Spartans who have earned the title of Regional Champions for the 2nd year in a row! The students competed against schools from DE and MD and also won best color guard and best drumline. Well done!

What is the Parent Advisory Council (PAC)?
A diverse group of parents and staff that will advocate, educate, and work together in a safe, collaborative, and inclusive environment to discuss and advocate for our childrenโs academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns.
Mission Statement:
The parent advisory council is committed to:
1. Increase family/staff involvement.
2. Improve communication about PAC.
3. Discuss ways to improve our work with supporting the mission and vision statements of the Lake Forest School District that include academic, behavioral, and social emotional.
4. Create opportunities for families and staff to share concerns and have their voices heard.
Purpose:
PAC's focus is to address student and family concerns in Lake Forest School District and contribute to the formation of our mission and vision to be the benchmark in education.
