The members of the Lake Forest Board of Education would like to extend congratulations and gratitude to long time Board member, Mr. Earle Dempsey, who submitted his resignation from the Board during Thursday night’s Board re-organization meeting. Mr. Dempsey’s resignation is effective July 31st. A true “Spartan for Life”, Mr. Dempsey served on the Lake Forest Board for the past ten years much of the time which was spent as the Board President. Newly appointed Board President Mr. James Rau said, “ Mr. Dempsey has been an invaluable asset to the Lake Forest Board of Education for 10 years, serving as President for the past 6 and leading the District during some very challenging times including a Superintendent search and the COVID pandemic. His leadership and wisdom will be difficult to replace, however the Board is grateful for his dedicated service over the past 10 years and we wish him well.” Godspeed Mr. Dempsey and thank you for your service to our community!
