The Lake Forest High School Athletic ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 28, @ 6:30 pm in the Lake Forest High School Auditorium. All Spring sport athletes and families members should attend.

The girls softball team will be playing Sussex Central for the Henlopen Conference Championship on Monday, May 20th, 4:15 pm @ Lake Forest High School. The cost of admission is $8, this is a Henlopen Conference event, Lake Forest High School is the host site for this year’s Championships game, no employee passes, school badges or sportsmanship passes will be accepted for entry to the game. Cash Only, no credit cards, no online purchases for Henlopen Conference Championship events.

The Lake Forest High School Fishing Club held a clean up and fishing event at Corseys Pond in Felton on this rainy morning. Students came out to learn the fundamentals of fishing or practice their skills and had plenty of catches throughout the morning.
Lake Forest High School's Financial Services Passion Pitch is organizing a District-wide food drive and will be participating in Food Bank of Delaware's CANgineering competition. CANgineering is a food drive structure building competition. It is a creative way to collect donations to benefit food-insecure Delawareans, while encouraging spirited competition amongst local organizations and schools. Food Bank boxes will be at each school for students to bring in non-perishable food items from Monday, May 13th through Friday, May 24th. Stay tuned for more news on this project!

All students who plan to utilize the weight room, or any school facility to workout this summer must have a 24/25 DIAA Sports Physical dated on or after 04/01/24 turned in to Nurse Tatman by June 6th to participate. You can get them in the Wellness Center for FREE before school ends, so MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! The forms are on Spartans-sports.com.
Football will begin on August 5th, and all other Fall Sports will begin on August 12th. LFHS will be hosting a SPORTS PHYSICAL TURN IN NIGHT on Thursday August 1st from 4-6:30pm in the Pool Lobby. Nurse Tatman will be present to accept completed Sports Physicals as they must be signed by her or the Athletic Trainer to attend practices. Coaches cannot accept physicals. All football players must have their physicals turned in by the Sports Physical Night August 1st. All other athletes must have their physicals turned in to the Athletic Trainer by Thursday August 8th at noon.

Lake Forest East Elementary students visited Lake Forest High School's Agri-Science classes this week. With the assistance of the FFA officers and some of the members, the elementary students got to visit the barns, learn about the animals and learn where their food comes from. They also made flower arrangements and homemade ice cream. They enjoyed lessons from the high school students and teachers, and everyone enjoyed working together. #SpartanForLife
Lake Forest Odyssey of the Mind is having a Quarter Auction on Friday, May 10th at Lake Forest Central Elementary School. Doors open at 5pm and the Auction begins at 6pm. We hope you will join us to help the Lake Forest OM teams travel to Michigan to compete in World Finals.
