Delaware Health and Social Services is opening a Child Health and Immunization Clinic at Milford Riverwalk Plaza. As you can see in the attached flyer, they offer all services necessary to fulfill the school medical requirements to keep students enrolled and/or help them to become enrolled in school. It will be starting on Thursdays only by appointment (8/19 is the first clinic date). If traffic picks up, they will open more days.
-Physicals and lab testing are for individuals 0 through 18 years of age AND no insurance or PCP.
-They provide Vaccines for Children (VFC) vaccinations only. VFC eligibility: individuals 0 through 18 years of age AND one of the following: uninsured, Medicaid, American Indian, or Alaska Native.
** They are NOT a primary care or acute care provider. They only see well children who meet the above criteria. As stated above, they see patients with Medicaid for vaccinations, but strongly encourage Medicaid patients to seek a medical home that can better serve them in the long-term for physical assessments and treatments.
