5th Grade Band Winter Performance Practice and Update -
On Thursday 12/9 will be our first 5th grade after school band practice. The schedule and details are below:
After-School 5th Grade Band Practice #1- Thursday, December 9th, 3:20-4:30pm.
After-School 5th Grade Band Practice #2- Monday, December 13th, 3:20-4:30pm.
· Location: Central Elementary: Ms. Whitehead will call down 5th grade band students earlier at the end of the day. Students will then report to the cafeteria with their book bags. Students will place their book bags on the cafeteria tables then proceed to the gym for band practice. Each student will have an assigned seat for the practice with their name on the seat/stand.
· Pick-Up: Please be here on time to pick-up your child from after school band practice. Parents should report to the back of the school. Please be patient as there are over 80 students and safety is first and foremost.
5th Grade Winter Band Concert -
Wednesday, December 15th 7pm @Lake Forest High School. Students need to report to the high school cafeteria by 6:30 to warm-up and line-up before going on the stage.
“Cast Members” Chorus Practice Only -
On Tuesday (12/7) and Thursday (12/9), there will be after school rehearsal for the CAST MEMBERS only from 3:30pm-5pm. Pick up will be around the back of the school by the cafeteria. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to pick up your child.
Cold Weather Clothes/Lost and Found -
Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather. Students go outside for recess as long as temps are above 32 degrees so they need to have cold weather gear.
If your child has misplaced a jacket, coat, or sweatshirt, ask them to check the lost and found bin in the cafeteria for it. Any items that are left in the lost and found at the end of this week will be donated to charity.
All visitors to our school are required to wear a mask, and it continues to be important that students be kept home from school when they show signs of illness. In the case of student absences lasting multiple days, please be sure to touch base with your student’s teachers to arrange the picking up of class assignments. This will help them stay caught up while at home.
