Dear Lake Forest South Families,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am thrilled to extend my warmest greetings to all students, parents, teachers, staff, and stakeholders. It is an honor to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal of Lake Forest South Elementary. In this role, I am privileged to contribute to the success and growth of our school. I eagerly look forward to working with Mr. Truitt to make this another fantastic school year!

This year marks my 11th year with the Lake Forest School District. I started as a paraprofessional at Lake Forest South and later taught Kindergarten for several years at Lake Forest North. During the 2017-2018 school year, I was honored to be named the Lake Forest District Teacher of the Year. As a former Lake Forest graduate and South student, this school holds a special place in my heart.

As an educator passionate about fostering student growth and cultivating a positive school culture, I am dedicated to supporting our principal, teachers, and staff in providing the best educational experience for our students. I firmly believe that a collaborative approach involving students, parents, and the community is key to unlocking our school's full potential.

I am just as excited as our students and staff for the upcoming school year. I cannot wait to welcome our South students back. Please know that my door is always open. I wholeheartedly welcome your input as parents and community members and look forward to celebrating our successes together throughout the school year.
